The Program

Four Things That Make Us Different

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿซ

Peer Teaching

Isabella (4th grade) teaches under Bobby's supervision. Kids learn up to 2ร— faster from a near-peer than from an adult alone.

๐ŸŽฏ

Mastery-Based

Students advance when THEY are ready โ€” not when the calendar says so. No child left behind, and no child held back.

๐Ÿš€

Fun by Design

Math plus hands-on STEM projects every single session. Kids leave energized, not drained.

๐ŸŒฑ

Growth Mindset

Every session opens with a 10โ€“15 minute Growth Mindset moment โ€” effort, resilience, and the belief that ability grows with practice.

Math Progression

From Counting to Algebra

A logical progression โ€” students advance only when they've mastered the current level. No one is rushed, no one is held back.

01 ยท Foundation

  • Counting & number sense
  • Addition & subtraction
  • Place value & comparisons
  • Skip counting (ร—2, ร—5, ร—10)

02 ยท Builder

  • Multiplication & division
  • Fractions & decimals
  • Perimeter & area โ€” intro
  • Order of operations (PEMDAS)

03 ยท Advanced

  • Full PEMDAS problems
  • Geometry โ€” shapes & angles
  • Area & perimeter challenges
  • Intro algebra โ€” solve for X
STEM Projects

Sample Creator Challenges

Time flexes each week, but the goal is always the same: build something real, apply the math, and present it to the group.

Popsicle Bridge Challenge

Teams build the strongest bridge from 20 popsicle sticks and glue, then test it by stacking pennies until it breaks โ€” recording results and presenting what they'd change.

Engineering ยท Teamwork ยท Iteration

Mini Business Plan

Students design a pretend business โ€” pick a product, set a price, and calculate how many to sell for $20 profit โ€” then pitch their plan to the group like a real entrepreneur.

Real-World Math ยท Entrepreneurship ยท Public Speaking

Tallest Tower Contest

Using only 10 index cards and 30 cm of tape, build the tallest freestanding tower in 12 minutes, then measure, compare, and reflect on what worked.

What 90 Minutes Looks Like

1
10โ€“15 min

Growth Mindset Opening

An affirmation or quote, an effort-vs-ability discussion, and the challenge of the day. Sets the tone for the whole session.

2
Flexible Time

Personalized Math Instruction

Isabella teaches the concept, students show all their work, and Bobby tracks progress with a mastery check built in.

3
Flexible Time

A hands-on STEM challenge, public speaking practice, and a creator-mindset project every single week.
